Objectives: SWBAT describe the evolution, functions, and characteristics of money.
Warm Up 15 minutes: What is money?
Vocabulary 20 minutes: Federal Reserve System, Federal Reserve Notes, barter economy, commodity money, fiat money.
Activity 20 minutes: What are characteristics of money? Using these characteristics think of three other things that might be able to be used as money.

Discussion 10 minutes: Medium of Exchange, measure of value, store of value.
Comic Life 25 minutes: 7 Habits of a Highly Effective Teen.
Closing 5 minutes: Review Objectives.
